Infrared Bolometers

Silicon bolometers enhanced with sapphire or diamond top hat absorbers are available for temperatures from 4.2 K to 0.28 K. Custom designs are available for use in astronomy, laboratory spectroscopy and many other applications. Optimum performance results from extensive experience in design and from system level testing.

Complete systems include:

• Bolometer tested in custom mount
• LHe4 or LHe3 cryostat
• cooled optics and baffles
• cooled filters
• cooled JFET and load resistor
• low noise preamplifier
• system level test results and documentation

Small arrays of discrete Silicon Bolometers are available.
